Mylia Wolfsabre Roase

(artsist unknown)
Mylia Wolfsabre was born in Scotland to a clan that worshipped the elements of the world. Her father ruled the clan, and  the elite and secret organization of the Fire Lords. Mylia and her identical twin sister, Terina, were chosen early to be taken into the Fire Lords and were conditioned from the time of their birth to take their place in that organization. Terina and Mylia were taught early that love and any other human emotion was a weakness that they had no room for in their lives, and Mylia learned that defying her father only caused her misery and pain. He loved his daughters in his own way, perhaps, but if he did, Mylia never knew about it. She quickly advanced in her teachings and became an excellent warrior---at the tender
age of eight.

When she turned eight years old, Mylia, being the eldest of the twins (and a strong user of fire magic), was informed that she had been chosen for her clan’s highest honor. She had already lived with the Fire Lords for eight years and thus was surprised that there was yet another honor she was being subject to. This was one honor that she did not want. She had been chosen to meld with a fire elemental. At eight years old, Mylia did not see this as an honor and ran away to a neighboring clan for protection. Mylia spilled the whole story to this neighboring clan---not realizing that this clan and the Fire Lords had been enemies since the beginning of time. The leader of the clan promised to protect her, if she would take him and his warriors back to her clan so they could try to reason with the clan leader and his followers. Being trusting and innocent, the child led the enemy to her clan...only to watch as they brutally attacked her people. Terina was killed (or so Mylia believed) and so was her mother. Half of her clan was wiped out, but they still defeated the enemy...and then brought Mylia out in front of the survivors of her clan for punishment.

It is not clear how she did it, but Mylia escaped her clan and ran. The eight year old child was taken in by Kirynii Ravenloft and raised as her niece. Kirynii was primogen of a group of vampires that she informed Mylia were called the Tremere. Kirynii was patient with the young girl and soon discovered to her delight that Mylia Wolfsabre was an adept student of Thaumaturgy and all other forms of magic. However, Mylia was best at any magic that had anything to do with fire. Members of the Tremere accepted Mylia’s presence among them and several even kept up her battle techniques

When she was twelve, Mylia was kidnapped by a group of Drow (Dark elves) and sold into slavery. She was married against her will to her new “master” and soon gave birth to a child. She has mentioned the child’s name only once, and it was to tell her friend many years later that the child was dead. Her husband was cruel and abusive, and one day Mylia could take it no more and killed him. She escaped from the UnderDark, with the timely assistance of a new friend, leaving her child behind, and tried to find her way back to Kirynii. She never made it back to Kirynii at that time. Instead, she was found by members of her clan, and returned to her father. After doing her best to fight the Fire Lords in fair combat---including her own father---Mylia was overpowered and tied to a stake to be forcibly melded with a fire elemental. She was tied to the stake overnight and was surprised just before dawn to feel someone silently severing her bonds and thereby freeing her.

She was both surprised and delighted to find that her rescuer was none other than Wyldcard, the only friend she had made among the Drow, and the one responsible for her escape from the Underdark.. Side by side, she and Wyldcard fought off several of the Fire Lords and fled the clan’s lands. Mylia and Wyldcard fought beside each other many times, and became blood brother and sister after one very treacherous battle.

Finally, two years after her kidnapping, Mylia was once more reunited with Kirynii and she bid a tearful good-bye to her shield-brother, who went on his own quest. Mylia spent the next years faithfully honing the skills that Wyldcard had taught her and learning everything she could about magic from Kirynii and the Tremere. On her eighteenth birthday, plans were made for Mylia to become one of the Tremere, but something changed all of that.

One night, Mylia wandered into a place called #VampirePub. She had met Avarius before, and on this night, he introduced her to some more of his friends and most of them took to her right away. Her fiancé, Agamemnon, a vampire of unknown clan lineage, met her there and they chatted and drank with Avarius and his group most of the night. When Avarius embraced StarLance right in front of her, Mylia was intrigued and curious---and very much aware of Agamemnon’s over-protectiveness and sudden hatred towards Avarius. Mere moments later, when Mylia had stood up to assist another member of the pub, she felt teeth tearing into the back of her neck and her life began to fade.

When she opened her eyes again, StarLance was holding her tenderly and DarkIce was kneeling beside her. Agamemnon was arguing with Avarius and threatening him with violence..then he was gone and Avarius and the two women were helping her to stand. Avarius was telling her that she was now a member of clan Brujah and his childe. Agamemnon returned and tore her away from Avarius, thus adding to her confusion and fear. Agamemnon and Avarius started arguing and when Mylia turned to Avarius in her confusion, and need for guidance from her sire, Agamemnon threw her down and told her that he never wanted to see her again...and more importantly, that they were now enemies.

Mylia was angered, confused and devastated by Agamemnon’s abandonment, but wouldn’t let herself break. Instead, she became fast friends with her clan sisters DarkIce and Arielana and with her new blood sister StarLance. StarLance and Mylia were close, but not as close as Mylia and DarkIce were. DarkIce and Mylia made a lethal fighting combination, and when a friend, Tasslehof, was attacked by a member of the demon clan named TheNobody, DarkIce, Mylia and LdyLiquid formed the Sisters of Mercy. And when Agamemnon reported Mylia to a legion of Vampire Hunters, it was to DarkIce, Avarius, and the members of the Bloody Black Roses (Avarius’ coterie) that she turned to for comfort and protection.

DarkIce embraced a man named Trylyn Roase, and for some reason, the family ties between him and Mylia have been stronger than anything she could explain. Trylyn has often remarked that she should have been his mother. When DarkIce died, Mylia was horribly devastated...but became close to DarkIce’s sister, Mortina, who suddenly inhabited DarkIce’s body.

The first person outside her clan that Mylia became friends with was Boreal. Boreal was not a vampire, but extremely powerful in her own right and she and Mylia soon became best friends and very much inseparable. Boreal took it upon herself to take Mylia under her wing and protect her...for her own good. Boreal and Mylia are inseparable and if you mess with one, you mess with both of them. Shortly after her embrace, Mylia became lovers with Avarius...and ran into Agamemnon once again.

After a horrible scene with Agamemnon, Mylia stumbled into the Pub heartbroken and lost...and met Talis Skyfire. Talis and Mylia instantly fell in love...and then she met his sister Tia...and her husband, Wyldcard. Mylia was ecstatic to see her shield brother again, and he was her. A few days after Mylia and Talis became involved, Mylia got in over her head with TheNobody, when she was trying to save the soul and the life of her friend Tasslehof. When Mylia would not willing give up her soul to TheNobody... he attacked her. A man named Nosfer joined in the fray...pretending to be her friend.

When the battle was over, Mylia had been given half of Talis’ heart to save her life---thus forever linking them and making them as one. Talis was hurt, Mylia was hurt, Boreal and Mortina were fighting at Mylia’s side... and the Nosfer revealed his true colors.

He opened a rift in the floor of the pub that led into the dark regions of hell. he ordered Mylia to come to him, and when she refused, he started to summon demons to destroy the pub and all of its inhabitants. Not willing to see her friends die, Mylia went to Nosfer, who forced her to drink from him. When she went back to heal the wounded Talis, Nosfer ordered her to let him drink from her. Mylia begged him to wait until she healed her lover first, and then she would follow his orders, Nosfer refused to wait and attacked her when her back was turned...thus earning him her hatred. He used threats against the wounded Talis and her friends to get her to drink from him once more. He then disappeared

TheNobody did not disappear, however, and continued to try to wreak havoc with Mylia, whom he suddenly decided to make war upon. He wanted the Demon Dagger that she had taken from Nosfer, and she refused to part with it...as someone had tried to kill her with it and Mortina had pulled it out of her back. Mylia was given an amulet, The Eye of Odin, that magically melded with her flesh. When Mylia wouldn’t hand these two objects over to him, he used her half sister Katya against her. Mylia then turned to the Rogue Knights for help.
